This lot contains 12 PSA/DNA Authenticated J-Publishing Cards of the 1961 World Series Champion New York Yankees. The set includes: Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra, Whitey Ford, Roger Maris, John Blanchard, Luis Arroyo, Bobby Richardson, Bill "Moose" Skowron, Bob Turley, Tony Kubek, Cletis Boyer, and Hector Lopez. The entire lot has been individually slabbed, and the Mantle and the Maris have been graded PSA/DNA GEM MINT 10.
Prior to this listing we have received several inquiries about this lot. We have declined offers from several major Auction Houses and several prominent National Dealers. All have indicated they have never seen such a complete high-grade group 1961 Yankee "J" Publishing cards. While the Mantle and Maris are the only autographs that have been graded, all the autographs in this lot are very strong 9's and 10's. This set was part of a purchase of several thousand autographed "J" Publishing cards from a private collector earlier this year. As many of you know, we have been offering portions of this massive collection for the past several months.
